Requirements:

Graduate of marketing, business, communication arts, and allied courses.

• At least three (3) years experience in the field of fundraising and marketing, with focus on corporate partners acquisition.
• Familiarity with conceptualizing and implementing non-profit fundraising campaigns and activities.
• Ability to implement a Donor Management Program.
• Above-average computer literacy to manage the organization’s Donor Database.
• Results-oriented, with good interpersonal skills, a team player with a degree of maturity and professionalism in representing the organization particularly to varying donor groups.
• Willing to be based in Muntinlupa City (Alabang)

Tax Deductions

Back in the days when I still did freelance stuff, my fee always took a 10% deduction for tax.

My clients would always say that they’re required by law to deduct the 10% even if they’re hiring a freelancer. Me, being young and gullible, always took them at their word, got the money, and just did the work.

Many years later, after setting up my own business and getting my own accountant, she informed me that the mandatory tax for freelancers is only 2%...not 10%.

Auditions for Singers for Tales of the Manuvu

Ballet Philippines is holding auditions for singers for its new production of Tales of the Manuvu, a dance-musical based on the Manuvu myth of creation, to be performed on Oct. 23, 24 & 25 at the CCP Main Theater. Auditions will be held on August 6 and 7, 2009 at Arts in the City, FVR Park, 26th St., Bonifacio Arts Center from 7:00-10:00 PM.

Created by founding Artistic Director Alice Reyes with libretto by National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera in 1977, Tales of the Manuvu, a pop rock opera ballet, was one of Ballet Philippines' biggest hits and featured collaborations with leading singers including Boy Camara, Haji Alejandro, Leo Valdez, Isay Alvarez and Celeste Legaspi. Tales of the Manuvu also discovered Leah Navarro and launched her career.

Tales of the Manuvu is seeking for 2 pop tenors, 1 baritone, and 1 alto/soprano to complete the cast of the new production under the musical direction of Jed Balsamo and Diwa De Leon, and accompanied live by Makiling.
