The Asian Institute of Management Policy Center (APC), formerly known as the AIM Washington SyCip Policy Forum, was established in 1996 as the research and intellectual resource arm of the Institute. Since then, in response to emerging trends and the demands of an increasingly globally-competitive world, the APC has broadened its vision and expanded its mission in pursuit of a more long-term contribution to the Asian region in general, and to the Philippines in particular, through research and policy studies. The Centers mission is to foster a public policy environment that emphasizes the primacy of private enterprises in meeting Asian societies needs for goods and services, and in contributing to progress and the building of a humane society.
Program Manager for AIM Policy Center
Responsibilities
1. Serves as principal policy analyst for APC projects
2. Manages policy advocacy activities
3. Ensures and maintains good relationships with program and project donors and partners
4. Develop and draft project proposals including designing of program research and events and managing of project’s timeline
5. Designs and oversees project implementation activities
6. Prepares summaries, project reports and press releases for the Center’s website, other media, and partners;
7. Represents the Center in meetings, forums, and conferences and creates synergies with other programs of AIM Policy Center.
8. Provides support to the Institute in identified areas of cooperation
Requirements
1. Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent.
2. Strong academic and practical background on research.
3. With at least one published research paper/article/journal.
4. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
5. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and must be proficient in computer applications used in research such as SPSS, SAS, etc.
