Product Development Supervisor


Responsibilities:

* Ensures that new models and model modifications related to quality and cost improvement are introduced smoothly based on established timelines, Company procedures and established plans and directions.
* Sets schedules and monitors the development of new models and various projects assigned to each Product Development Engineer. Ensures that these projects are implemented smoothly, on time and in compliance with established Company/corporate technical requirements. He shall generates necessry reports concerning various activities as required.
* Process necessary Capital Expenditure Requests (CEA) and Request to Purchase (RTP) together with the necessary feasibility studies and justifications as needed in the implementation of a new model or a major cost reduction project.
* Sets schedules of training and orientation to Production and Sales people as required especially when new models, new features, new technical processes are introduced.
* Ensures that all new models and model modifications are implemented in accordance with corporate and Company established ISO procedures and that all necessary documentations (Testing and Evaluation reports, EPR's, PCN's BOM's, Part Drawings, Pilot reports) are written, approved, issued and filed properly in coordination with other related members of the Engineering Department.
* Guides the Product Development Engineer(s) in matters concerning New Model introduction, cost reduction, electrical component development and qualification as well as Agency testing and certification.
* Performs other functions that may be assigned by the superior from tie to time.


Requirements:

* Male or Female
* Graduate of BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university
* Engineering license is an advantage
* Must have 3-5 years experience as a Design Engineer/Design Supervisor; 1 year of which in a supervisory capacity
* Background in airconditioning is an advantage
* Computer literate (MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
* Knowledge in autocad or Pro-Engineer is a definite plus.
