WANTED: Principal Software Engineer

PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Required Technical Skills:

**Solid background in C++
**Solid object-oriented skills
**Strong graphical interface design and implementation skills.
**In depth knowledge and experience with MSFT Windows programming using the Win32 API and COM.
**Must be able to produce code that works well in multi-threaded environments.
**Ability to analyze and debug code written by others.
**Ability to work with software components provided by third party vendors.
**Ability to design and architect solutions
**Produce detailed architecture documentation

Required Project Management and Leadership Skills:
**At least 1 year experience leading small teams.
**Mentoring skills
**Effective management of various projects
**Effective and timely communication to Upper Management.

Required Working Skills:

**Must be able to work independently.
**Creativity and out of the box thinking are required.
**Must effectively escalate problems to management.
**Must posses the ability to find unique solutions to problems in order to make customer and market deadlines.
**The ability to switch contexts and adapt to market/customer driven priorities is an absolute requirement for the successful candidate.
**Must be open to working on a US-Eastern time zone if needed.

Additional Desirable Items:

**Experience with producing code that converts video and/or audio from one format to another.
**MPEG knowledge and experience.
**Agile methodology.
