AHON (Acts of Hope for the Nation) Foundation, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Filway Marketing, Inc., is a non-stock, non-profit organization with a mission of promoting quality basic education by developing public elementary school libraries all over the Philippines.
We are currently looking for a full-time Project Officer whose main functions will be to assist the Executive Director in implementing projects relating to our resource mobilization and marketing programs.
Job Description:
As the Marketing/Communications and Resource Mobilization officer, you will be in charge of:
1. Creating awareness for the foundation (maintaining website, brainstorming creative ads, establishing connections with other individuals/ groups)
2. Ensuring positive public relations and high brand equity of AHON Foundation
3. Organizing innovative fund-raising events and projects throughout the year

Minimum Requirements:
1. Graduate of a reputable college or university; fresh graduates may apply (majors in business, marketing, communications, IT-related courses, development studies, preferred)
2. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Filipino; & good interpersonal skills
3. Must be proficient in basic computer skills (documents, spreadsheets, presentations/ publication tools) & some background experience in managing blogs, websites, etc.
4. Must be organized, efficient and systematic in maintaining project documentation materials/files and correspondence
5. Must be flexible and willing to travel
6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision while producing quality and timely results
7. Must be willing to learn, be creative & analytical, and open to new ideas
8. Must possess the belief, conviction or commitment in working towards positive changes in our Philippine public school educational system

About Silq Media:
Silq Media, LLC is a web publishing company with a number of online properties that focuses on niche markets in mainstream industries. Silq Media properties are designed to provide unique web experiences with quality consumer information for the intended audience. This quality user experience translates into a higher level of trust allowing for effective promotion for advertisers and business partners. Silq Media web properties primarily serve audiences in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
About the Position:
Silq Media currently has an opening for a full-time, home-based web content producer. The bulk (about 70%) of work in this position involves researching for and writing medium to high quality content for various websites. If we find that you are adept or interested in learning, the content production duties can expand into creating graphics or videos as well. The remaining duties will include editing and website management (posting content to websites).
Every week, at least 5% of work time is built into your schedule solely for training purposes. We have a large repository of training materials and encourage all employees to use them to learn new skills. As such, the tasks listed above may not be what you will be doing 6 months down the line as we discover and utilize your new talents.
What your work day will look like:
You will be given a request for the content with the content specifications and the level of quality expected (where research materials may or may not be included). You will then write or create the content within the time expected and submit the content to its applicable source. This step may be repeated 2 to 4+ times per day depending on the number of requests. You may or may not have to post the content to one or more sites using wordpress after it is completed. You may or may not have minor editing tasks to complete (this includes reading over some content to check for grammar and spelling).
If you have extra time, you can review training materials to learn and get experience on using diffrent softwares or skill building in SEO, paid search, link building, etc.
At the end of the day, you will send your daily email to your project manager detailing your tasks completed for that day.
Payment Information:
This position requires a one month trial period starting at a base of $150 USD per month, or more depending on experience and/or portfolio quality. Once you are accepted as a full time employee, your base pay will increase by at least 30% or more depending on the quality of work during the trial period.
An NDA, Contract, and W-8BEN is required to be signed and returned before payments are made. During the trial period, payments are made on a monthly or bi-monthly basis through Paypal or preferably Xoom.com. There will be no advanced payments during the trial period.
Additional Notes:
As this is a full-time, home based position, you are expected to dedicate at least 8 hours of work per day during the work week. A personal computer with high speed internet in a quiet setting is recommended during work hours. Also, daily communication on work progress via email with your project manager is required.
