Job Description
1. Develops and provides marketing and public relations programs that promote the council, its events and other related projects
2. Plans and implements marketing and public relations programs, maintains marketing calendar, and tracks cost of marketing and PR activities
3. Designs and implements plans to market events and other projects
4. Assists in facilitating and coordinating various events' elements.
5. Develop marketing collateral and deliver marketing information in a timely manner
6. Writes, designs and updates newsletters, monthly memos, brochures, fliers, web site, email blasts, social networks, press statements, etc.
7. Writes and distributes press releases, and produces media kits
8. Writes letters and official correspondence internally and externally
9. Assists in preparing and writing project proposals
10. Invites media to local and regional events and serves as onsite media contact
11. Initiates media opportunities including on-air interviews and feature stories
12. Builds and maintains database of all local and international media contacts
13. Builds and maintains database of advertising contacts
14. Monitors releases, news stories, radio and TV interviews, websites, etc.
15. Works in coordination with the Program Coordinator on Web site and database design, implementation, and maintenance, and with the Executive Director on marketing events and other projects
16. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with a variety of organization's public
Qualifications:
1. Candidates should be able to multitask, have strong communication skills and business knowledge. Marketing and sales awareness and experience such as field experience, methods for promoting and selling services and products, and effective communication techniques will be an advantage.
2. Candidates with one to two years of marketing and PR experience in the creative industry are preferred. Fresh graduates are still welcome to apply but must have a good academic record and outstanding skill sets.
3. Required communications skills are comprised of written, verbal and presentation capabilities. S/he must have an excellent command of the English and Filipino languages, and must have excellent telephone, customer relation and presentation skills.
4. Additional skills may include the ability to actively listen, use logic to identify strengths, weaknesses and solutions.
5. S/he must have must possess outstanding organizational skills, and must be proficient in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
6. S/he must be comfortable greeting and meeting new people, and establishing professional relationships.
7. S/he must understand and be comfortable working in an NGO setup and environment.
